Eugen Kask was born January 18, 1918 in Kiev, died May 11, 1998 in Vimmerby; he was an Estonian-Swedish painter.
He was the son of the architect Kristjan Kask and Maria Lass and from 1948 married the telephone operator Karin Inger Lisabet Stenström; he was also the brother of Leo Kask.
Kask graduated from Tallinn in 1938, after which he studied architecture at the University of Warsaw and painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tartu 1940–1943. Kask came to Sweden as a refugee in 1944. He exhibited separately in Ulricehamn, Borås and Uppsala, among other places, and participated in group exhibitions in Karlstad in 1945, and at Liljevalch's art gallery in 1946 and in Ulricehamn in 1955.
His art consists of landscapes, figure compositions, portraits and animal studies in charcoal, oil or pastel.
Kask was also active as a goldsmith at the jewellery company B Milton in Vimmerby.
