This charming marine painting by Swedish artist Ludvig Richarde captures a lone sailboat gliding across calm waters, bathed in the delicate light of dusk. Ludvig Richarde was born in Gothenburg in 1862 and passed away in Båstad in 1929. He studied in Stockholm (1879–1882) and later in Copenhagen (1884–1887), and traveled extensively across Europe. Known primarily as a marine painter, he also depicted coastal scenes and landscapes, often inspired by the natural surroundings of Hallandsåsen.
