Martin Eder was a Swedish drawing teacher, artist and ceramicist. Martin was born on the island of Gotland and spent a lot of time there, he also lived in Sala. Martin was a curious artist who made study trips to France, Italy and Tunisia, among other places. This portrait of Martin Eder is very special, it was painted in 1954 and depicts an unknown man, painted with expressionist brushstrokes with clear fine colours.
